About

A dialogue between
tradition and innovation

Born in Uttarakhand and raised in Mumbai, Deepak Verma is a flamenco guitarist, educator, and performer based between India and Spain, gaining recognition for bringing authentic flamenco to new audiences while creating a unique cultural dialogue through music.

For over ten years he has moved between worlds — rock bands, session work for the Bollywood and advertising industries, and for the last several years, complete devotion to the study of flamenco guitar and its living tradition of dance and song. His performances are not concerts so much as cultural journeys, connecting Spain and India through a shared, universal language.

Learn Flamenco

Technique, rhythm,
musicality

I teach a principle-based approach — technique, rhythm, and musicality — step by step in small blocks, isolating left hand, right hand, and compás before bringing it all together. There are no shortcuts in art; I build the foundation that sets you up for a lifelong journey. Almost all my students stay in touch, and we've grown a community of hobbyists and artists who help each other grow.

What students say

"Deepak is an amazing teacher, a pioneer of flamenco music in India. Learning from him helped me develop good technique and build my own style — it's helped not only with flamenco but with classical and bossa nova too."

Udit GuptaClassical Guitarist — Young Musician of the Year 2020, OJCF

"Studying flamenco guitar from Deepak was a transformational experience. His varied background across Spanish, Western, and Indian music made flamenco concepts easy to understand — and gave me a wider skill-set as a composer."
